Slope Extra: mouse control, ramp alignment, and distance

Guide updated

Follow the ramps as the ball accelerates

Slope Extra challenges you to guide a rolling ball over sloping ramps while avoiding obstacles. The ball keeps accelerating, and the aim is to cover the farthest distance you can without a collision. New obstacles appear as the attempt continues, so a habit of reading the next open route is more useful than reacting to a single familiar shape.

This edition changes the input from keyboard steering to mouse movement. That difference is worth learning on its own before comparing your result with another downhill game.

Move the mouse left and right

The provider says the ball follows the mouse: move it to the left or right to guide the ball. Begin with the pointer inside the game area and try a small movement. Sweeping across the full player immediately can make it hard to judge the response.

Mobile readiness is declared, but the listing only spells out the mouse control. Follow any touch instructions in the embedded player rather than assuming a specific swipe or button layout.

Make each mouse movement intentional

Choose a safe line around the next obstacle, then move toward it smoothly. Once aligned, avoid continually shaking the pointer back and forth. Extra movement can introduce a new problem after the original one has already been solved.

Before reaching the end of a ramp, check where the next surface begins. Plan the approach to the transition instead of concentrating only on the object directly in front of the ball. You need space beyond an obstacle as well as a path around it.

A distance practice routine

Use one attempt to learn the pointer response, another to focus on ramp joins, and a third to combine the two. Compare where control broke down rather than relying only on the final distance. A longer run caused by a lucky escape may teach less than a short run with a clear mistake to correct.

As the pace increases, move your attention forward and prepare smaller adjustments sooner. The official instructions do not list braking or a manual jump, so do not depend on either to recover a late approach. Your reliable tool is the line you establish with the mouse.
